Thomas and Lily

Our Fun Activities: As true Oregonians, we’ll go hiking or visit the Oregon Coast, rain or shine.  We take our two Maltese dogs with us whenever we can.  When it’s nice and warm, we spend time on rivers and lakes paddleboarding, floating, or fishing.  When the weather’s really dreary, you’ll find us at the library or gym. We often enjoy a night at home with crosswords or a movie. We love to garden (even if we still have a lot to learn)!  We grow as many kinds of berries as possible and are still hoping to be successful cherry growers.

Favorite Meal: We enjoy cooking at home.  Our favorite time of year is when we can use produce from our garden. Lily cooks a lot of recipes she learned growing up in Hawaii.  One of our favorites is miso salmon. Thankfully, Tom likes everything Lily cooks. Tom’s specialty is perfectly grilled asparagus.

Can’t Live Without: Our little dogs, Muffin and Blueberry.  Travel, fun, color, oceans, rivers and lakes, being near our parents and siblings.

Favorite Place: The next place we haven’t been yet.  We loved a hot spring we visited in Santa Fe and enjoyed all the walking and food in New Orleans.

Best Day Ever: We are happy to our hearts’ content if the sky is blue, the sun is out, and there’s a good song playing. We always aim to have as much fun as possible.

Favorite Family Traditions: New Year’s Eve is especially special for us, because that’s the night we met!  We try to find at least one little way to celebrate.  We hike Misery Trail at Smith Rock in Terrebonne, Oregon every summer. It can be dreadful hiking up the side of the rock face, but the view at the top makes it all worth it. We spend traditional holidays with family.  We usually choose to spend our birthdays on the coast.
