Supporting A Loved One During An Unexpected Pregnancy
It can feel overwhelming when someone you care about is facing the challenges of an unplanned pregnancy. Whether you’re a parent, romantic partner, or concerned friend, it’s natural to feel a mix of emotions—confusion, curiosity, frustration, and everything in between.
If you’re seeking experienced guidance to support yourself or someone you know through their pregnancy journey, Boys & Girls Aid’s all-options counselors are an excellent first point of contact.
We can connect you with trusted community resources to address a variety of needs, from understanding your rights as a co-parent to accessing financial aid and housing assistance that can support the birth parent during a time of crisis. Whatever the details of your situation, we’re here to help you start exploring the best path forward.
Please note: While we can provide information and resources to everyone, only the birth parent can work directly with us to begin the process of creating an adoption plan.
About Boys & Girls Aid’s All-Options Counseling
Boys & Girls Aid has been working to create families since 1885 and has been providing guidance and support to expectant parents since 1947. Our team has decades of combined experience in family and adoption planning—from both sides of the adoption process.
When you get in touch with our all-options counselors, you can rest assured that they will create a welcoming and inclusive environment and will treat your unique situation with the level of confidentiality and care that you deserve. We are here to listen to you, and provide a knowledgeable sounding board for you to explore your options and make an informed decision about how best to handle your pregnancy.
How it Works:
Any resident of Oregon or Washington is able to get information from our all-options counselors. You can send us a message 24/7 via phone, email, or our online information request form, and we’ll get back to you within 24 hours.
We’ll then arrange a meeting to begin discussing your options. This meeting can take place in-person at the location of your choice, or virtually over Zoom.

When you contact Boys & Girls Aid for support with your pregnancy, you can rest assured that:
Your Counselor will be compassionate, knowledgeable and non-judgmental.
